This exceptional, Vintage Old Mine Cut Diamond and Blue Sapphire ring is a one-of-a-kind. Based on the design and stone cuts, it would date from late Victorian to early 1900s.
The unique design is not one seen regularly. The sapphires show no evidence of heating, are a vivid blue and eye clean. They are likely to be Ceylon sapphires. The old cut diamonds are full of character and have an amazing fire to them, refracting light to show the full rainbow spectrum. The colour ranges from G - I and are approximately SI clarity.
Set in 18ct yellow gold, the setting design has intricate scrolls intertwined with designs of a natural feel.
The sapphire weight is measured in mount and the total carat weight is approximately 2.88cts. The diamonds weigh approximately 2.10cts
The current finger size is approximately an S finger size and has pips inside the band. The ring can safely be resized to any size above an I finger size.
